Did you mean:
What is LUGAS and how does it affect my limit?
LUGAS (Joint Gambling Supervision System of the German Federal States) is a central system that connects all licensed online gambling providers in Germany. It was introduced to strengthen player protection.
What does LUGAS do?
1. Monitors your monthly deposit limit
Your monthly deposit limit applies not only to Tipico, but across all licensed gambling providers in Germany.
By default, the limit is €1,000 per month.
Important: This limit is provider-independent, which means:
- Deposits made with other licensed providers reduce your available Tipico deposit limit.
- Failed or cancelled deposit attempts may also count towards your limit.
- As a result, your available limit at Tipico may be exhausted even if you have not successfully deposited with Tipico.
2. Prevents simultaneous gaming across multiple providers
When you are active with one provider, LUGAS records this centrally.
If you then try to use another licensed provider, you may have to wait for the mandatory 5-minute cool-down period before you can start playing.
When is the LUGAS limit reset?
Your limit is automatically reset on the first day of each new calendar month.
What can Tipico change and what can’t it change?
Tipico can:
- Adjust your personal deposit limit if you provide the required supporting documentation.
Tipico cannot:
- Override the LUGAS overall limit.
- Remove failed transactions from your LUGAS limit.
- Access information about your activity with other providers.
How are the deposit limit and betting limit connected?
If your deposit limit is increased, LUGAS may automatically apply a corresponding betting limit. This is a legal requirement and cannot be bypassed.
